Thanks for all the ideas guys. The problem is age old as we all know. Its the "quick access" to the right material(STUFF) which is a pain. The tubes for threads etc are ok but if you need the spool in the middle of the tube all the ones on top need to come out. One thing I do use (Murf listen up cos Byard may want some for LE) is the plastic spiral bindings from old catalogues. Cut to size they fit the spool and stop it unwinding. They are around 1/2" diameter when not under pressure and open up niceley to fit the spool. I also use ziplock bags.
I have also tried taking just the materials for what I intend to tie. didnt work as i usually end up wanting to tie something different!!!
The quest will continue.............

Subject: [VFB] Tying materials storage.

OK guys n gals fess up. When you travel to tie at shows or go to a camp or such and
take materials with you how do you store your kit for travel?  I have tried all sorts
from tying boxes, to tool boxes, bags to suitcases and am not happy with any of
 the methods.
What system do you use? Home build or shop bought?
ALL ideas welcomed
