Hello all, again- trying to wade through the e-mails and reply. I'm sorry if it is a while since you asked about this, but work and life in general has kept me busy... For Steelhead around the Great Lakes, especially North- Central PA (From Warren, PA northward to Erie) I've had wonderful success with Bucktail streamers and smaller "bucktail doubles" (ie double- salmon hooks, tied with bucktail wings, sizes 4 and smaller). Yellow and red (Mickey Finn with some palmered burnt saddle / spey-like hackle) worked well. I also have had decent success on landlocked salmon and steelhead further north (the Salmon River in far- western NY) with dyed grey-squirrel tail "streamer- speys" (ie a single salmon iron sizes 6 and lower, with a throat of OVERSIZED squirel tail, woven as hackle or spun at the throat.) Pinks and cardinal-reds have been working wonders this year... Hope that helps, and keep me posted on the C&R's, Pete
