Probably not, but I wonder how many wall fisher folk we could upset (it's a family list) by parking upstream of the inlet at the launch in Walnut.

I doubt Elk Creek could handle my draft.  Why not just wade?  ;-)

Probably with gas prices now a days.  I get around 20 highway in the thing ... or 300 miles /tank.  Not good for a Fla trip for sure.  Good enough for a trip to Erie next Monday!!!

Who's local enough to be game?

Murf,
Think my 96 Fode Expoder will be able to tow it that far?  Split gas?

Sure, I'll join you.  How can I get my 24' Bayliner & trailer towed that far though when my 83 Ram Charger has a bad tranny?  My favorite fishing in the keys has always been around Lower Matacambe Key.  Secrets given at departure from land but I think it will be quite apparent where to fish once there...unless you want to get to the "Hump".  ;-)))  Not tellin!

I'm planning a trip this year's-end down to the Bagwan's area (aka JerryG-
yeah, I know- I'm a glutton for punishment) and then down to the keys (never
been there- Sanabel is as far as I've gotten).
What's the best fish to target for late Dec/early Jan. in the S. Florida
area? I'll have my Mokai and Jerry would have his kayak, so we'll be
targeting inshore species mostly. But if anything big (marlin, sailfish) is
running, I'll charter a captain and we'll try for those, too.
Ginger, if you're around, maybe we can actually get to fish this time.
Any help would be appreciated. If anyone wants to go along, let's do it.
