There is a review of many common knots on one of our
old flyclub newsletters at:

http://www.geocities.com/contrabandflycasters/augnews.pdf

Warning!! This site does noty have a lot of bandwidth
allowed!! (bandwidth is regulated per hour)

The review has uniknot, perfection loop, nonslip mono
loop, rapala loop, as well as other common knots.

Hadn't seen the cone knot before Jerry...I might have
to give that one a try. It will be a while though. I
had a problem with my prosthetic leg a week ago, and
that caused a large blood blister on the stump. no
prosthetic until that heals (the problem in the
prosthetic was a small piece of foam which came
unglued and fell into the wrong postion, easily
fixed...just wished I healed as fast). So no fishing
for me, I'm stuck in the wheelchair for a
while...access around here to common fishing sites is
still limited, with my favorite sites still only being
allowed access to people who live(d) there...Rita made
a mess of things. Only a couple of boat launches open
as well, so you have to haul; your boat a good ways
before you can put in (sold my boat just a few weeks
before Rita hit, now noone knows where it went...guy I
sold it to said he tied it to a tree by Calcasieu
Lake...but he can't find the tree. Across from that
spot there is a shrimp trawler 9 feet up in some
trees).
