Bill,
I have made several replacements. If I can find the disk I have the photos on, I will send you a photo. Maybe someone on the list I made them for might have a shot handy. I turned a piece of aluminum stock to 7/8 X3/8" thick. Drilled a hole on the back side to press in a allen head screw. Not all the jaws have the same size screws. The outer part of the screw head is serrated. this gives you a "press" fit. On the outer side, I cut a 3/8" bevel on the outer edge. Drilled and tapped a 8/32 hole on the bevel. This is for the lever. The lever is made from a piece of rosewood turned like a oval barrel, 3/8"x 1 1/4" drilled out for a 8/32 screw. The 8/32 screw goes through the hole and screws into aluminum to hold the rosewood lever. The lever now sits out at an angle. Makes a nice lever to tighten the jaws. You might also consider a crank lever handle. Some list members have them too.
Tony
P.S. I am not making any at this time.

Thanks, Jimmy.
I bought an extractor and a rethread kit, I know have a 8-32 thumb screw. I am going to play around and hopefully get a better screw adjustment like you are describing. I am not a welder, but I'll track one of my machinists friends down and talk thru something. The thumb screw is a pest particularly when you are tying differents sizes like streamers and then wets. My fingers get chewed up after a while futzing with it. Has to be a better way.
Thanks for the post
Bill

I had the thumb screw break on my Renzetti also. What I did was go to
the hardware store and buy an "allen head" screw / bolt and took an
allen head wrench that fit into the screw and JB welded it into it and
left an "elbow" sticking out of the head. Sawed the elbow off
    about one
inch from screw and now have a nifty lever to use to tighten,
    instead of
    the pesky thumb screw !
