Point three should read: "Dig out your Fly Tyer mags and see if you missed anything the THIRTIETH time through them".

I've sent this danged QUOTE FOR THE DAY 3 times already today and have yet to see it come through on the VFB server. When the cold weather sets in and it's raining or you have cabin fever and you're really feeling down, try these key things to cheer yourself up. 1. Tie some flies, not your regular stuff, but something new that you've not tied before. 2. Read a humorous fly fishing book, like those by McManus, Sparse Grey Hackle and John Gierach. 3. Dig out your Fly Tyer mags and see if you missed anything the first time through them. 4. Make yourself a "hot toddy". Guaranteed to warm you up and improve your fly tying ability. 5. Get out all your fly fishing stuff and re-sort it to its proper place. (This always helps and your wife will appreciate it.) 6. Clean your fly reels. Don't remember the last time I cleaned mine. Be careful and don't lose the screws! 7. Fondle favorite fly rod as you recall the last trip and the big trout you caught. 8. Go out in the garage/storage building and admire your canoe/pontoon boat. 9. Help your with the housework. That'll shock your wife/husband and you too. (this will come in handy later). 10. Tie some more flies. Let your imagination run wild. Careful now, don't spill your beer in your feather drawer. 11. Fondle the rest of your fly rods, looking to see if there's a rod weight that you don't have at least three of. 12. Crank up your computer and visit Linesend.com 13. Byard has anything you'd ever want for fly tying and he has other neat fly fishing stuff too. His prices are great and delivery is fast. 14. As a last resort, visit your local fly shop. Your wife/husband will be glad to get rid of you by this time. Hell, she might even suggest you get a new fly rod, if you've helped out a bunch during your "incarceration", without her asking. Jody will probably go buy my fly rods herself, she'll be so happy to get me out of the house. Have A Great Day, JIMMY D ------------------------------------------------------------------------ YAHOO!
