Don O
I hope you were referring to the tyers from New England. NuJoisey isn't New
England!!!! :) You'll have to come back again if you want to experience New
England. Byard and I can point you in the right direction. <VBG> Maybe the
Striper clave next year.... you'd like that! One of these days I hope to
make it down your way. It's nice to see Chris Broomell here so we get a
little bit of the west coast in our show.
I didn't want to tell you about the Beaver.... That's why Bill kept eyeing
my platypus during class. I kept a close eye on Sheila.
Steve Thornton unfortunately didn't make the Symposium this year so I was
moved into Bill Blackstone's class instead. I was a little disappointed
that we didn't actually tie our own fly but he was very entertaining and
gave us a beetle to take home.
One of my highlights was Paul Whillock tied me a mayfly!!! It's beautiful!!!
I got to meet Gordon MacKenzie also so I have a collection of his hair wing
flies to frame up now. I always have to come home with a pocket full of
Harrison Steeves foam flies!! I love those things. He is a riot!!!!
It was so nice to finally meet Henk also!
I had such a great time with all the VFB'ers and a few new faces I met
there. It's always fun to spend the weekend with the usual gang.
It was lots of fun having you there Don O. I hope you'll come back.
I'm still a walking zombie today. Three days with very little sleep and I
had to come back to Rhode Island and teach Monday night. Aaaauuugh!
Warm Regards,
Deb
