I know the invitation's there, it's just tough getting time to make it out there.  I've got trips for work scheduled for California, Japan, possibly Guam, and Singapore, between the first of the year and the first of May.  Your tax dollars at work I'll see if I can get my act together once it warms up in the spring.  Now if you're thinking about a Clave I'd certainly be interested, just as long as it doesn't coincide with the FF@ Clave.
I've been trying to make it to one of Drew's Bass Claves but he keeps scheduling them the weekend before my annual Canadian trip.

Brings back memories.  Wouldn't be here if not for FF@ and meeting you, Byard, Tony and others now here at the Secaucus show.  I really need to attend more shows so as to learn the many tricks of the craft.  Everyone I've ever met has at least one new idea and some have many.

Jerry, you know you always have an open invite to my cabin so come west and show me some new tying techniques ole friend.  Goes for all my friends out there on the VFB.  Maybe it's time to hold the first ever VFB clave (get-together) of tying, fishing and eating.

One place we could use is my cabin abode (at a private club by a large creek).  It's about an hour south of Harrisburg and north of Baltimore airports for far away members.  I'm sure we could organize some car-pooling with a bit of organization.

So far, I've had the pleasure of Richard Ross, Hans Weilenman, Byard Miller, Kim Boal, Rick Zeiger and many others you know visit.  I'd really like to have a good-sized group come for a long weekend or the like.  I'd guess we can easily fit 10 on beds and couches plus some more on cots we could set up.  Since spouses would cut the number of tyers in half, we might need to use the Hampton(?) Inn 7 minutes away for sleeping if the group gets large.

Plenty of flyfishing from 50 yards to 50 minutes distance including carp to trout to bass.  Any season of the year is possible with winter to spring being the best to enjoy the scenery.

If I were to choose a camping destination for this first clave, it would be north central PA at the campground along Pine Creek.  Many miles of streams and some truly remote waters for the adventurous.  May 20-June 10 is the best fishing I've ever had there with the river/creek heavily stocked and the runs never needing such.

If enough VFBers like this idea, we'll go into planning mode.  Anyone interested?  Byard, you HAVE to attend as you are the only other one with a key.  ;-)
