In Kelson's book there are two petterns listed The first is the Glen Grant which has the wings made of jungle cock. The second is the Glen Grants Fancy which has a married wing. The colour of the body is different as well.

Subject: Re: [VFB] Classic Spey Fly Swap- Closed

Hey, everyone - recovering from a very long holiday period, and will reply to personal e-mails later.  Regarding the Somersett show, it was AWESOME!  I'll post some info at a later time, as I have to get suited and gowned into the lab for work now...
Anyhow, regarding Deb's Classic Spey Swap, it seems like the Lady Caroline is the most popular fly (with just cause; it works!), I think I'll tie up a Glen Grant or one of the Heron flies... I'm still deciding, but the Glen Grant is high on the "I'll tie it" list for me.  I'll decdide after I get home and see how my 'stash' is for the materials.  I think I have plenty of the Jungle Cock eyes, but would like to make sure before commiting to it.  Is the Glen Grant considered a "Classic" Spey fly with the wings tied tent-style (I've seen it tied with married up-wings...)?  If not, I'll tie one of the heron series, likely orange or purple.
Hope that helps and doesn't confuse, and tight wraps,
Pete
