Its been a long time since Ive posted and I am afraid that I am going to make a comeback by asking for your advise........................
Ive gone back to university to do a doctorate and I am afraid that the fishing has taken a severe hit. So much so that I actually got withdrawl symptoms a while back :-)
To combat this and make sure I have as much fun as I can next year, I am buying (this time) a pontoon boat for myself.
This is where ye all come in. I have a list from Cabelas.com and as they keep the costs down by shipping for approx $100 (as opposed to $400) I think that I will stick with them. (Other suggestions are welcome!)
+ I will be using it for lake use only (Max approx 10-30acres)- never on a river.
+ I will be doing short amounts of trecking with it on my back (although if I got a bit adventureous that may change!)
+ I
will be carting around only one or 2 rods and not a massive amount of tackle, although during a long day on the lake, I do Iike my bit o'grub!
+ I am a growing lad of 16.5stone, and 6ft3in tall. Ill need plenty of leg room and a comfortable seat. (are they interchangeable?)
+ My max for the boat (not inc shipping and customs tax) is USD$350.
+ A motor mount would be nice be optional.
+ DOES BOAT COLOUR MATTER??
