Guys and Gals,
Well, here's what I'm gonna try tonight when I get home --
orangish-yellow glo-bug yarn for a tail, with a deerhair wing. I
still want to keep a minnow profile somewhat because there's smallies
that frequent the water at well. I'll try to post some pictures when

before I can say that you can easily remove the cord from the gar's
teeth and they will survive just fine. These things are possible one
of the toughest fish known to man. We shot one bow fishing one night
and he flopped out of the boat complete through and through shot,
two weeks latter same fish same spot shot him again and it was just
a wound almost a scar in the short two week period. We always did
most of our gar fishing with fly rod in the summer when the fish
would porpoise for oxygen, they are really fun to catch and
challenging. They are decent table fare as well when prepared correctly.
