Biscayne- national park; Long Key- campgrounds, park; Marathon- airport,
taxidermist, motels; Bahai Honda-- state park land, flats galore.... just too
many great places.
But if you had ever read my posts, you'd know to hit
Lower Matacambe, fish the Atlantic side in some very good structure close in
by flats boat, out a bit further to 60' depth for some excellent bottom
fishing, 11 miles due east to the "Hump" (Lowrance numbers to those who
take me along). ;-)
My most secret route can't be revealed here specifically but if you
get as far as 24 degrees 43' north by 81 degrees 31' west "roughly",
you'll be in clear sight of some great fishing ahead on the gulf side.
Just be wary of the tethered blimp area... "weather" blimps my....
In the
end, I'd really take time to get a guide and try the many not so easy to reach
spots if you want to fish the flats. I'll volunteer if you promise not
to stand up in the boat. ;-O

Where's the best
place to camp in the Keys? I see photos of beautiful
turquoise water, but
I can't find out where that area is. The photos of the
camping grounds
don't show the area around the camp sites. I'm thinking it
should be Key
Largo, but I'm not sure.
Any help would be
appreciated.
