What do you all think are the important things/functions to include in the
design of a tying station??
Ie mounts, dubbing stations, sparkleflash hangars etc.

To answer a bunch at one time,
We got the family room finished and painted over thanksgiving. We got
the carpet in and everything moved into place last weekend. The woodstove
is the center of it, and helps to heat the house, as well as the family
room.
Concerning the roll top desk. Actually it is just the roll top, from a
cheep imitation. The desk part of it fell apart years ago and a friend gave
me the top just to get rid of it. The tying station in the photos was an
idea as to have one that is portable, but can be slid in place and the roll
top closed over it. Thus preventing the cats from "Finding" new toys.
I have tied on it some, but have to keep it clean, as per the agreement
with the wife. It is a family room, not just mine, so I have to do my part
in keeping it presentable all the time.
Lastly, yes, I have 9 bases already cut out in the shop, 8 of these are
Formica toped and I plan on using native Osage and Mesquite that I mill
myself for all the accessories, rails, toll and thread holders and such. As
soon as the temps outside get over freezing and I have water back in the
house I hope to be back in the shop working on some. As I add new pieces I
will post them to the web site.
Thanks for the compliments and interest.
Jimi
