Heck,

Use anything black with some shimmer like a bug and it should work but maybe not quite as well.  I even have some very shiny dyed woolybugger saddles that might work in a pinch as they are huge and have that blue-black look with irridescence like crow.  Might work.  Look around and if you can't find anything call Byard.  He'll skin one for you.  Look for roadkill too.

Allen,
Yeah, I think both Buggs AND Jester are starting to rub off on ya...  LOL ...

Seriously though, Chuck ---  What I've been using is the butt feather fibers off a Ringneck Pheasant dyed black...  I think the iridescence of those fibers give it a little bit of a kick, so to speak...

"Black crow wing fibers for the wing case". I broke the firing pin on my shotgun a while back, so does anybody know of something I could substitute??? I have everything else.. Thanks  in advance, Chuck

Sorry, Chuck.

I've been listening to Jester and Buggs too long.

Black chicken feather barbs should work too, wouldn't they?
