Methinks he lost more than his feathers. Methinks he lost everything BUT his feathers, actually.
I find piles of bird feathers out in my pasture all of the time. We have all of the raptors around, and also wild and domestic cats, and foxes. Could be any one of them munching on doves. I always see one or two doves sitting on the lines, mourning their lost ones. I did pick up a bunch of feathers, and to be safe I washed them in Dove detergent, of course.
