I read about it not long ago...apparently they use a huge rabbit strip-based
fly and float it across the current to represent a marmot or Chernobyl rat.

Reminds me of a story I read recently about the IGFA retracting a world
recod for the Taimen (a really monstrous trout found in Mongolia) the
record was for any means and it was caught on bait casting gear with
live bait.  The problem was with the bait, a live marmot (kinda like a
groundhog) apparently the IGFA does not allow the use of mammals as live
bait!!
