No, you just need thin layers and it doesn't get too thick at all.  Murf, your stuff would give you a great high if you sniffed it, but kill a lot of brain cells and liver cells, so that's definitely not a good idea!!  I'm finishing up my grading this morning and then I get to go Christmas shopping in my wheelchair...oh joy...at least I don't have to find my wife a present...she picked out a new laptop, so that's her present ( her current one works only when it feels like it, which is about half the time, just won't boot at all when it doesn't want to work).  I'm very tired of looking at numbers at the moment...

Does the contact cement get to thick between the layers? That was my concern, I use it on carpeting when I am covering up the stringers on staircases, that way there are no dimples from the staple gun,,just makes it a little tougher when you want to change the carpet 10 years down the line. I have a warm garage even in the winter (with the help of a small electric heater) so maybe I,ll try putting the foam together in there, I do prefer the acetone base but if you say the water base works just as well,,I will give that a shot,,,safer too I guess,
Thanks for all the help
