Chuck,
A hook doesn't go into my vise unless it's barbless...  I always crimp down the barb prior to securing it in the vise...  So I guess it's fair to say I fish totally barbless...  I've never had any problems what-so-ever as far as loosing fish because of a barbless hook...  Now I've had hooks break or bend, but that's an animal of a different color...

Rodney..

Subject: [VFB] Barbless Hooks

Folks: It is COLD... So I have been watching and re watching videos i have. I have a VHS tape I got with My started kit that has Lefty Kreh in it, and he made a very interesting statement... I'm not saying he is wrong, cause he was fly fishing LONG before i was even thought up LOL... Anyway, he made this statement "I have used barbless hooks since 1956 for everything but Tarpon and sailfish, because I find that I catch MORE fish"...How can this be??? Long as you keep the line tight yes, but don't you loose fish as soon as you get any slack in the line and the hook slips right back through the piercing it made???? Sign Me confused as to how this works, Chuck
