I'm sure all of you are aware of the terrible range fires we're having in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. We're all aware of the heavy rains and flooding further west. I'm asking that you say a prayer for all, that the rains will end in the already drenched areas further west, and that we get rain down this way to quell the range fires. Cross Plains, TX where 100+ homes have already burned is just 130 miles from me. For sure, this is fishing related. Two years ago we lost the entire Rio Grande Cutthroat population in Ponil Creek at Philmont Scout Ranch, NM. This was due to a 28,000 acre fire that basically sucked all the water out of the Ponil. Floods and fire can do serious harm to trout as well as other fish and animals.

Thank You,

JIMMY D
