Richard,
if you are using MS word o make your swap pattern doc. There is a feature that allows you to reduce the size of the file. It compresses the images.
For document printing you do not need the ful l resoulution you might have for photo prining..
cheers Ian

The first few times I meistetered I collected the
patterns and then sent them out. I had trouble with the size of the file
and head to break it up and send it about three parts.
Right now I am running my annual 4 swap
madness. I have 8 groups of ten in this and collecting and sending
patterns would be to much. I usually find two or three patterns in a
swap that I have not tried before or something close to them. I rearely
have folks ocntact me about the patterns I have for the flies I send into swaps.

Well put, Rick...when Mike meistered the "GoTo" Swap, he took digital
photos of each fly in the swap and sent them along in email to all
participants. Prior to this, he drew up a recipe "card" of sorts for the
participants to email back to him with the choice of fly. Lotta work for
him but well worth it for the participants!

That way if someone wants the pattern they can
email and get it.
Less for this swap meister to
handle.
