You could always do the Moses test. When the pharoh of the time wanted to
see whether Moses, a baby at the time, would one day try to take his
wealth/kingdom from him, he used a test. He put two containers in front of
him- one containing red hot glowing stones and one with jewels to check
which one he would grab. You should do the same with one of those rotten
cross-stich needles and a vise. Simple as that. If she grabs the needle,
well...I don't want to even mention such a gruesome thought!

Subject: [VFB] Different opinions...

Teresa and I have been debating these last few days. We've realized (and my
mother also agrees) that the baby has got quite long fingers, so of course
she will be into crafts. I am convinced that she will be a fly-tier. I mean,
I have brought tying tools to the hospital every time I've been there and
she starts to shine brighter than the sun as soon as I show them to her. ;o)
Teresa, on the other hand, is convinced that she will be a little
cross-stitcher. We haven't conducted any "instant reaction tests" on that
yet, since Teresa is still staying at the hospital and I don't know what to
bring.

But maybe you could give a little hint, since a lot of you have got many
years of experience and have also seen many people turning into tyers (and
might have an idea of how they looked before "emerging"). Teresa has a
homepage which I have been updating with new pictures the times I've been at
home. The address direct to the photoalbum is:

Take a look and tell us (Teresa is also curious about what you think): What
do the pictures say to you? Does she look like a future...

A: *FLY-TIER*
B: *CROSS-STITCHER*
C: *OTHER* (for the ones of you who don't know what a future cross-stitcher
looks like, but still don't think she looks like a future fly-tier)

If you have own specific suggestions other than the two above, they're most
welcome and will be included in this "survey".

Please keep your replies OFFLIST (send them to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and I will present the final result tomorrow
night or the night after that (depending on when they "seem to have
stopped").

/Nick

(PS: Doesn't pic no:7 say something? She feels safe with a tyer's finger in
her hand.)
