I just remembered something from a couple years back.... When we first
started the Co-Op swaps the first swappers got a surprise care package from
Tom Whiting also! I still have that package. I thought that was so neat!
I think Don O and Byard arranged that somehow.
Be very careful.... they are very addictive! See what happened to me. I
had to start pushing them to support my habit. ROTFL!
Warm Regards,
Deb

Reuven
I got all my midge stuff from Byard in the swaps. I think he still sells
them on the Lines End site, it's a great deal. He sells a lot of Whiting
products and what isn't on the site he can order for you. He's a big
Whiting dealer. I think Whiting has around 80 members world wide on their
pro team. That number may have changed a little since the last team
newsletter but it's close. Don O sent me some midge feathers when I first
joined the VFB and Allan Fish sent me a care package with Midge Cree
feathers. I was hooked from the start! ;0)

Deb

How many people actually are on the pro team ie for whiting??
I met one here called Mick Hall a couple weeks back. He showed me a midge
cape. My jaw dropped and my heart went kaboom. He gave me a couple of
hackles which are superb. I hope to get one someday. I love tying the
smaller flies but the hackles for the tinier flies were few and far between.
This one was too much for me though, and I will be saving the ones he gave
me for a very special occasion....I don't know when I'll be able to get more
(not looking good at this point).

It must be great having access to so many wonderful materials.
