I love the LAW vise I just can't afford it. :) My husband told me I could buy one and then the dollar went to ... I still don't have one. Sad... sad... sad.... Schmetzer promised to leave me his in his will. I may have to wait that long ... which hopefully will be a very long wait. I'd much rather keep Schmetzer around. Henk turned down the Nor-Bobbin... It is the newer model and he was hoping for an older one. I can send you pictures of it if you would like to swap something for it. Deb: I can certainly appreciate anyone's preference. Hans told me to my face that he hated the NorVise. I have great respect for all the things which Hans does, and for the excellent tyer he is, and a wonderful resource he has become to us on the VFB, and elsewhere. However, It was easy for me to decide that I had found the right vise for ME. I have stayed with it. I would love to try a LAW vise, but I probably never will. I find that the NorVise will do everything I need it to do. I cannot imagine myself tying on any other vise. Larry Johnson >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 1/19/2006 12:41 PM >>> We've already killed this topic so many times.... but I do agree with Hans. I dumped my Norvise pretty quickly. I'm not in love with the bobbin either. It has sat on my tying shelves since I first tried it. I would have to recommend that before buying a Norvise you tie on one first. I haven't heard back from the tyer that bought mine as to if he liked it or not. I hope he did. It is a true rotary vise. I know this post will bring some responses. Larry Johnson Springville, Utah LOL Larry, The Nor-vise is a spinning vise, as well as true rotary. (Mind you, if it is up to Andy and Lily Renzetti, only their vises are allowed to carry the "true rotary" tag...) The Nor-vise is also a love it or hate it proposition. Many love it. I do not care for it. Vive la differance ;-) Cheers, Hans ==================== You have a Friend in Low Places ==================== Hans Weilenmann, The Netherlands http://www.danica.com/flytier =================================================================
