<<Never mind how you size them, where did you get them ??>> You can find them almost everywhere. I found mine at the local fishing shop. It was this Indian flexible type, which I like best as they aren't trimmed down when you buy them. You save a lot of time since you don't have to sit browsing through the cape in search for the right size. On these ones you just grab one and trim it down yourself to the size that suits your fly best. I was wondering why something this genious could be that cheap, but I realized soon. Producers like Whiting and Metz probably have a lot of manpower for trimming the hackles on their capes and saddles.
