I was just meesin' with you, Murph. Jimmy and I spent way too much time cooking last time we were down there. Hopefully, they won't be running 7 units of generation in the rain this time around. I am more likely to fix something ahead of time, freeze it and heat up for eating. Works geat for my camping trips and saves a lot of time.

Now, due to the North Carolina debate of dry rubs versus marinates, I have a compromised recipe and process. Bad enough we got north against south so don't need to go east versus west...or do we? Keeping this fly tying oriented, the winner should get the secret pattern recipe(s) of the others and be shown how to tie them. Y'all up for this? Would make for one heck of a dinner. Might even turn into an event. Although that's good, I'm sure it's no match for the brisket and ribs of Jimmy D. and Jayhawk Jeff's TexiKan BBQ:) Haven't had a good BBQ smackdown in here for a while. Seriously, I've been known to pull a shift on a smoker. My buddies and I compete few times a year in area events and am always in the mood to learn a few things. --- David Murphy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: --------------------------------- Someone get hold of a real smoker grill and I'll head up the 24 hour vigil. Need a source of good meat, thermometer, real charcoal, pre-soaked wood chunks, the basics. I'll bring the rub, marinate and show you boys where my Momma is from (Georgia). Will need tag team partners to monitor temperature, baste, turn, etc. My recipe is perfect so don't even THINK of adding or changing anything. Volunteers to assist? None of that Jersey BBQ (anything that is cooked on a grill is BBQ in Jersey). We can't have him going back to Sweden thinking that a charred Ball Park Frank is BBQ. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Nick, > Still haven't heard from you on when you'll be at > the Sowbug...
