Hi Chuck & all,
Yup, we're North of Miami in the Ft.
Lauderdale area but people in our club routinely fish from Ft. Pierce down to
the keys and over to Naples & Sanibel. Of course the everglades & 10K
islands are in there as well. I haven't fished Okeechobee yet, keep meaning
too. But then again we have some nice bass fishing down here as well as
butterfly peacocks (aka peacock bass). Let me know if you make it down here
again.

Ken: Pretty neat site... I suppose you are located around Miami???? My
first wife's Father Had a houseboat on Lake Okeechobee, and we would go
there for a week or two at a time and run trot lines for catfish and/or
turtles. Baskets too. Have you ever Fly Fished Okeechobee???? I never did,
but I know every now and again (had to turn em loose :(:(:( We'd get
10 pounder or more Largemouth bass on the trot lines or in the baskets....
Course, there were soooo many snakes and Gators there it scared the heck
outta me sometimes to go there. His boat was docked up one of the canal's,
and going down the canal to the open lake to set the lines, you'd see HUGE
gators sunning on the shore, and when your boat went by, they would slip off
into the water, and make you WONDER where they would come back. I would also
Crappie fish off the boat at night, and you'd look up and see that single
glowing red eye of a big ol gator coming down the canal quiet as a mouse,
Chuck

My personal page is perpetually in flux but here are two I
run:
South Florida Fly Fishing Club - www.sfffc.org
and
it's a bit dated but still accurate if you're interested in snorkeling in
south florida: www.snorkelsite.com

Tim,
Funny
you should say that. The ones I got so far were already in
my favourites folder... with exception of yours. Thanx a
bunch.
Your page was one addition. I hope for
more...

This woke
up something I thought of a long time ago. I started to find some of
the VFB'ers homepages... quite a bunch actually. I think I have over
15 in that favourites folder. But I'm very sure there are more of
them lurking out there.
I'd like to top up the folder. This is
not a "sharing project" and I'm not planning any compiling like
Jimmy with the VFB locations. This is just for my own curiousity, so
you can send the URL's offlist. (Only saying that so I can't be held
responsible for starting a GIGA-bandwidth thread.) If you want to
share onlist... I'm home free and it's on your own
necks. ;o)
I hope I'll find some nice URL's in my
inbox tomorrow morning.
Thanx in advance and nite
nite, /Nick

??
Tom Davenport mentioned earlier that it'd be nice if we'd
do a town / state deal for the list. I'll be glad to
handle this and will start it off by listing my name, town and
state. I think it would be neat if we all knew where each
other lived. A bunch of you I know already and it's
fascinating to be able to talk to VFB'ers and know they're from
Australia, Sweden, Germany, UK, Canada, etc. I would
think we're in lots more countries than what I just listed and I
suspect we're in most of the states.
