Tom,

That's excellent advice.  I think I'll sit next to DonO until I get to see his techniques and then come over to join you guys.  Just have an arrow from "Beginners" pointing at me as I've never tied at a show before.  Club meetings and tying groups yes, but never a show and never with so many people.  The TU tying night had about 40 or so but that's my limit so far.

Let me give you some advice, Murf,  sit far away from Don if you want anyone to watch you tie!  The first time I tied at Sowbug,  a local tyer sat down next to me and started making Muddlers out of Spun wool that looked like they could swim away!  Turned out he was famous for his ultra realistic flies, and pretty soon there were twenty people crowded around him, completely blocking anyone from seeing me.  The good news was, I had the best seat in the house to watch him tie, so I just put my stuff away and enjoyed the show.

I'm sure the same thing will happen when Don starts tying from his arsenal of amazing flies.  If you want to watch him tie, sit next to him.  If you want to have PLENTY of room for others to see your stuff, sit next to me and Larry!

I'm bringing a sign that says "I LOVE BEGINNERS" to see if I can attract someone who might actually be impressed by what I tie.  And I'll sit far away from Don (except when I'm not tying, and then I'll be in the crowd watching).
