Folks: I caught three nice sized Bluegills today... I was about ready to retire, cause those were the FIRST fish I have caught since BEFORE Christmas... All hand sized, and are NOW resting comfortable, filleted in the freezer LOL. Cause i had eaten every single fish out of the freezer from last yr, and I would love to have a Bluegill Sammich about now... I think the reason they started hitting, is because in the past 5 days at that place, the surface water temp went from 49.5 to 54.2 today.. Got their metabolism workin a little I guess. Caught them all on a fly I "invented"... (Just made it up one day last Spring, and it has been a good panfish fly). I call it the "Pink Panfish Producer, if anybody wants a pic and/or recipe , contact Me offlist and I'll send it to ya... Hot pink chenille body, black wet hackle, gold bead head, and about 8 hairs off the back of My Chihuahua for the tail LOLOL. I got that Hot Pink Chenille in My starter kit, and never thought it would work as good as it has, but last Summer, i caught a ton of bluegills, Shell Cracker, Green Sunfish and all types of Bream species...Cause a cpl small largemouth bass on it even... Chuck
