Nick;

I look at it this way You don't have a problem until you actually have
a job. Go to the interview knock their pants off and then when they
offer the job bring up the plans when you call to accept it, If they are
adamant you must start, skip the sow bug family is definitely more
important. If they are willing go and have fun. The point is don't
give them anything to push them against you if they are on the fence.
Don't try to solve problems before they are problems. Get the job
first, then worry about the sow bug

John... and the rest who have pointed out to me that family and job
comes
first. I should mention that I'm on the same line there, no doubt. And
several also commented on the line I wrote about not mentioning it. I
didn't
plan to go that way either. I will be honest with them, lay it out the
best
way I can... and hope for them to understand. (That's where your prayers
will come into the picture.)

Some also mentioned that employers usually are understanding regarding
this
kind of thing and I can see that. But, since this town has a VERY high
percent of people without jobs, employers also use it to its limits. If
a
guy has children, he probably will have to stay home a few days more
than
the guy without any... if one guy doesn't have a driver's license, he
might
come in late more often than the other... and if one guy won't be
present
for the first week, there will be a lot of others to chose from that
will.
The point is, if I was one of FEW in the pile and turned out to be best
suited for the job, chance would be good that they would sacrifice those
few
days. Now, the number is so high that I will have several beside me,
just as
good as me, who WILL be ready to start at once... (adding: who WILL have
a
driver's license, who will NOT have epilepsy, and who will NOT have
children).

I don't know if it even WILL conflict since I don't know when it starts.
If
it will, I will do my interview as smooth as I can and hope for the
best...
but ULTIMATELY, I will do what's best for my family.

/Nick
