Title: Meddelande
Bird's Nest... hmm... good fly, but still a very hard tie. Sounds too challenging to me. I think I'll stick with what I planned... the 'Nerd's Best'

Sniff!  Niclas said you liked him more than me.  He must be right.  Is it that I'm old?...fat?...gray?...ugly?... NO!  don't even say size 32!  Ha!  DonO said he'd show me how to rope dub but I'll bet all you get is a bird's nest from Dr. Demento trying to put some thread on your hook. (!)

Subject: [VFB] Good news...

For those who sent me prayers, thanks... they might have helped. For those who planned to send them later, so they would be fresh and fully charged at the actual interview... thanks, but save them for someone who might need them in the future. I don't need them anymore. I'm home free for Sowbug!!!

After Murf asked me what kind of job I was applying for, I realized that this fair might not be an obstacle after all... it could actually be something good. The job I'm applying for is IT instructor and one of the qualities they look for is experience in leading groups. I have lead four tying classes now (none of them mentioned in my resume... forgot) and fact is that Sowbug is a public event, much with an instructional purpose. This would give me yet another addition to the qualities they value. Suddenly I didn't feel as uncomfortable with mentioning it at the interview.

But I still didn't feel good about informing my Unemployment Agency contact about it. They use to be rock hard about jobs going before everything else... "make a mistake and we'll cut you off". My own one is one of the nicer ones and she has made me favours in the past. But she still is a very strict one and I don't think actually ASKING her for a favour would be a popular move. So when I called a while ago, I didn't plan to ask her for any help... I merely wanted to inform her about the situation and asking for her advice what to do. There was no hesitation there. I hadn't even come close to the "instructional experience could be a plus" part, that I wrote about, before she in fact TOLD me to go. "This is a chance you've been waiting for so long and I know how much it means to you" etc etc. "If they see it as a problem, tell them that you've discussed it with me and I'm OK with it. No... tell them immediately when giving them the situation and you will give them a more responsible impression checking with me first."

So... Sowbug... "nema problema" :o)
