May I try to motivate you? I was in the same shape (or is it out of shape) as you........and started getting a 'tight' chest - esp. after tying my shoes. I went in and the doc sent off me for the ol' treadmill. The treadmill passed - I failed.
But that allowed the cardiologist to catch me before a heart attack - barely. A week later (and two heart catheterizations later) I was the proud (?) bearer of 7 stents. He said that I was lucky for the advances in stent technology. Two years prior to that I would have had 5 by-passes (two arteries each received a pair of stents).
So.............. Get that weight down a little. No need for a crash diet. I'm doing it VERY slowly - I've lost 8 lbs in 5 months (which is above my goal of a pound per month) by simple push-aways. I'm eating everything (including desserts), but just not as much. I am no longer stuffing my face.
Seeya at Sowbug. We can eat a good greasy hamburger together - but leave the last couple of bites on the plate (that's VERY hard for me to do).
