Ian; I keep forgetting, are you Mike M -----Original Message----- we are at the beginning of Autumn, but you would not
know it. Fishing the in the high Country on Sunday from 11:00 - 16:00 saw
me wet wading in shorts and tshirt. Temperatures were (84F) wather temp (58F).
Water low and clear and the fish very happy to take the fly. In five hours
I caught and released about 20 trout, even hooking and landing two at once. I
dropped a few more and missed a few on the dry fly.. one of the hazards of
fishing a tandem nymph dry rig. Especailly when the first 7 are to the
nymph the reflexes are instintive: strike first and ask questions later.
unfortunately when a nice brown rose and slowly took the dry, I was way too
early and fast on the lift... but I was ready for the next one (oh ok it was
really third time lucky before my timing kicked in :-).. cheers Ian
