Have not heard from Alan on the list for a year or two. Did we drive him away?

Alan Di Somma is in town, (Temple, TX), just 28 miles south of me,
visiting his daughter, son in law and the grandbabies. I'm taking Alan,
SIL and 3 1/2 year old grandson fishing on Lake Waco. We'll be fishing
in the backwater on Reynolds creek. The bass are on the beds and
fishing has been good for the last couple of weeks. Since the Cara Weed
is beginning to poke their heads up, we'll be draggin buzz baits and
spinner baits through them. Will mostly leave the bedding bass alone
unless we string up our fly rods and try some clousers on the nesting
big mommas. I know, all of you want to give me twenty lashes with a 12
wt. salt pole, for my chunking and winding. Just go ahead, don't bother
me none. Until you've done it, you can't possibly realize the
excitement created when a BIG largemouth hits a buzz bait as it comes
tearing through the weeds. WHAM ! BAM! SPLISH ! SPLASH! OH S*** ! I
MISSED HIM! You'll miss a lot of bass on buzz baits, untill you learn
not to set the hook untill you feel the bass on the lure!

Have a Great Day. Full report tonight.
