Subject: [VFB] Nighttime Fly
Fishing
Folks: I was asking about the crappie fishing with the crawfish.. Now,
how bout night fly fishing?? reason I ask, in my bait chunking days, we went
crappie fishing (with live minnows) more at night than during the day.. We
caught More fish... And, if I do fly fish at night, should I use a
scent???
Now, speaking of the fish scents.I'll tell ya'll a funny (or not funny if
you were one of the postal workers it happened too)..Speaks volumes about the
power of suggestion in Humans.. In Hueytown AL, just about 50 miles from
me, two days ago, 23 of the 40 postal workers at that PO were rushed (ON
Oxygen and on stretchers) to the ER after smelling a BAD scent in the Post
Office... They all said they could not breathe.. had chest pains etc etc..
Turns out that all it was , was a single bottle of Bass Lure Garlic Scent
liquid... Well, Postal Workers still being sooo leery of any weird smells in
mail, or powders etc... They "THOUGHT" they could not breath and or had chest
pains.. Cause unless you are allergic to something in this stuff it ain't
gonna hurt ya, other than the fact that it stinks to high heaven..... I just
thought it odd that 23 had to be rushed to the ER.. When in college (Yeah,
that probably comes as a shock to ya'll that I could go to college LOLOL, but
I actually have an AS degree in Welding Science, and an AA degree in Business
Management).. but I took all the Psychology and/or Sociology courses they
offered, cause I've always been interested in what makes ppl tick... Well, Our
text book had a "case study" of ppl who were told to tell a friend or family
member "Are You sick??? You look terrible" and to keep this up all that day..
Well, at the end of the day, over 90% of the ppl who were told this
"suggestion" were either at the ER, or had to lay down as they FELT ill by the
end of the day.. Strange ppl we humans are huh??? LOL, Chuck
