T-Storms and tornadoes have come and gone. Forecast is severe T-storms
again this weekend. My March Madness Swap is done and the Redneck Swap
is halfway over. Have all the flies for the David Murphy Memorial Shadow
Box except one, in and mounted and as soon as it comes, I will mail the
box to Murf's wife, Lina. With all this done and the water too muddy to
fish, I was planning on playing a little golf this week, but wouldn't
you know it, what with all the sawing of trees and limbs and hauling
them out to the curb for the trash truck, my arthritic shoulder is now
acting up. Don't laugh! If you've never had a bad shoulder, you can't
imagine what it feels like. Think about someone sticking a sharp knife
down in between the ball and socket of your shoulder and twisting it.
Can hardly take a golf club much more than chest high. So, it looks
like I'll tie some more flies. DANGIT !
JD
P.S. I talked to Lina earlier this week to alert her that the shadow box
was coming. She expressed her appreciation for those who sent a fly for
the shadow box, and wanted me to thank all of the VFB members, for
being a very important part of Murf's life.
