Yes, we are still on. If I get too busy to eat or see a friend I'm too busy.

When will be meet and where? We can meet at Northridge, at your motel, or at a restaurant. Since it is busy Friday nights you might want me to go early and make reservations. Where would you like to eat?

Tom: You sound like a busy man. Will you have time to visit me at Northridge High this weekend? If not, maybe I could come to the house, because I will be so close......... Let me know.

Between wrapping up the last month of school, visiting with my
granddaughter, and getting the yard ready for a wedding reception (I
have a daughter getting married May 31st) I haven't had time to read
or respond any email. I have had to take day's off work to get any
fishing in, the nights and weekends are filled with "honey-do's". On
top of that I want to build a new rod and repair and re do the tip on
another.

I did, however, find time to rig up a new fish finder (Hummingbird
Fishfinder 565) for my kick boat. I have been using a "Fishing
Buddy" finder for years, but I wanted to try out the wonders of the
higher resolution finders designed to go on boats. It wasn't two
hard to adapt it to a kick boat. I bought an aluminum frame designed
to hold the transponder, which is clamped onto the square aluminum
cross beams that support the seat of the kick boat and can be easily
removed for launching and shallow water. I mounted the base of the
unit to a piece of hickory wood which is lashed with metal straps to
the frame. The whole thing is powered by a small, 12 volt seal gel
battery which sits in one of the side patches. The actual unit head
pops into the mount and can be easily removed for safekeeping.

I'll try it out at Strawberry Reservoir this Thursday. I'll report
how it worked, and then will go off list until the first week of June
