depends on where you go. 99% of tackle shops are a waste of time for flyfishers. The 15-odd shops that specialize in flyfishing have a more than decent selection of stuff, that only the best shops in the US will better. Now Down-n-trout ('Francine's shop') is something else if you're into saltwater fishing and tying -- I doubt whether there is another US shop that has the stock that she has...
