Good Morning VFB'ers!

I have kept most of the postings regarding the Memorial Shadow Box that 55 of us VFB'ers contributed a fly to, to keep the VFB traffic down.  It took a month to get all the flies in.  Not bad!  I completed the shadow box over the weekend and FED EXED it to Murf's wife Lina, yesterday.  It's a 16" X 20" X 6" Mahogany box with black velour lining.  The flies are mounted in rows on black corks and have an identification slip immediately below the fly, giving the name of the tyer, the city, country and name of their fly.

I talked to Lina last week and expressed my sympathy for her and the family.  I also told her about the shadow box.  She asked me to pass along my appreciation to the VFB for all the cards and letters she's received since Murf's passing, as well and a special thank you to those who tied a fly for the box. She said she had a special place to hang the shadow box for all visitors to see.

The box and its flies are really neat looking.  If you'd like to see it, let me know OFF LIST and I'll be glad to send a Jpeg to you.  It's only about 80 kb so it doesn't take long to download.

Cheers,

JIMMY
