Reuven,
I find the TMC 200r hook with a slight bend best for klinkhamers.I've
been told the guy who came up with the klinkhamer idea likes these hook
as well.

I have been using the Partridge 50s pack of the klinkhammer model
which I love. Is there one specific model that most people seem to
agree on as being the “best”??

Same here, regarding tying Klinkhamers -- I just got a box of Sz. 16
Daiichi 1270's from Line's End with my $15 gift certificate from
renewing my VFB membership - perfect timing for the swap, and great
for the upcoming caddis hatches around these parts, besides... A
modified Henryville Special (1270 hook vs the 1180 or such) in the
*traditional* claret (it since went light- green for a different
caddis species) works like a charm! My wife is out and about shopping,
so... a tying I shall go!!! Besides, it's rare that I can blare my
country music without the dog howling and my wife's ears bleeding...
;) I may not be fishing quite yet, but in a few weeks (June 30th to
July 10th) I'll be on the Kenebec river in Maine, spey rod in tow. :D
Tight wraps,
Pete
PS - Reuven - Deepest apologies, but the 'goodies' left just
yesterday... I didn't forget about ya', but have been busy and unable
to trek to the post office with my crazy shift at work. At least we
hired for 3 of the 6 positions that quit... so now there's 5 of us,
out of the 8 we had... gotta love that 12 hour day, 72-hour week
thing! WOO HOO!
No, sitting here tying Klinkhamer flies!!!
