Reuven
Just be sure to time your visit for September when we're on the cape for the
Striper clave then you will have plenty of company for fishing. I think we
may have Rene talked into it this year! Ashley comes every year but he's
going to come up in June this year instead of September.
I personally don't fish up near Boston. There's plenty of fishing here. I
do like going up to the cape but not so much during tourist season. As the
saying goes.... if it's "tourist season" why can't we shoot them? LOL Some
thing to think about when planning a trip here for fishing you really don't
want the crowds.
Fall and Spring are the nicest times to fish before the crowd gets here and
after they leave. Jack Gartside sends out a newsletter for fishing around
Boston. It's pretty informative if you're really serious about visiting
your Aunt you may want to visit his website and sign up for his newsletter.

Warm Regards,
Deb

I'd love to see the striper run one day....I'll have to use a visit to my
aunt near Boston as an excuse to travel so far though(My wife would
understand the visit to my Aunt, but not the fishing!
Around here, we don't get anything too big unless you have a boat and want o
travel a fair bit(I am sure you can here my crying from there)

Yes. Tonight was the best worm hatch I've seen down at Ninigret.
Unfortunately with thousands of worms in the water it was very difficult to
catch the stripers attention with my little worm fly. I had better luck
last Monday when there weren't so many worms around. It was lots of fun
watching all the bass though. The catching was tough for everyone. One of
the guys finally caught one at the end of the night and it was so porked out
on cinder worms that he looked more like a small mouth bass than a striped
bass. The fly tyer side of me was just fascinated to watch the worms. :)
The new moon along with the worm hatch is really making the fishing good.
Warm Regards,
Deb
