Tony/Everybody: Another fishing report from Bama, and namely on the Chili pepper and just a few other flies. Last 5 trips, since I last reported, we (My Wife, Sons and I) have caught over 300 Bluegills (not all were "big uns", but bluegills nonetheless) and about 6 Large Mouth Bass(largest about 2 pounds), using mostly the Chili Pepper... cause they will hit it when all else fails, Chuck

I tied some up two weeks ago, and last night I took them with me up the "creek" to a catch basin which has been full to overflowing with spring runoff. In the last few days the water has been getting clearer, and the runoff lower. This pond is right by the raod, and is very popular with the bait chuckers. I didn't even take waders, just stood on the bank. I started with several midges and other offerings, and didn't turn a fish. I put on a chili pepper and had a couple of hits. I was fishing a fast-strip retrieve. Then I caught two in two casts. These are recently planted 12-inch rainbows with stubby fins. Then some misses, then another fish which released itself much too early, but would've been the best fish of the evening. These are the first fish I have caught on the CP. Just wanted you to know.
