Sorry about not getting the quote out today, but left early this morning
for the ranch. Met with VFB'er Jack Lehman, who drove out to the ranch
from Austin, to pick up my pontoon boat. Hated to sell her, but have
had her for nearly three years and only used twice. Gave Jack a deal he
couldn't refuse. He'll get plenty of use on the Llano, Lower Colorado
and North and South San Gabriel Rivers. Also, Jody and I loaded 300
antique tumbled gray bricks that were left over from when we built our
house here in Woodway, into my F350. I had made a patio with them next
to the RV I used to have at the ranch. They'll make a nice walkway in
and around Jody's flower beds. So, doing all that in 98 degree heat,
we're both tuckered out. I dread tomorrow, for I'll have to lay the
brick like paving stones in and around the flower beds. Gotta put sand
down first, ugh! Highs are forecast to continue in the high nineties
and low 100's through next week, then off and on like that thru
September. Summer is definitely here in Central Texas. Gonna be tuff
fishing for a while, until I head to Philmont Scout Ranch right after
Labor Day for our week-long trout expedition on the Rayado.
Quote to return first thing tomorrow morning.
