I opted to go with a higher grade cork grip on XP I completed a week ago, the cork was much harder than most cork grips sold. So you can imagine my surprise when the grip split and collapsed where I place my thumb when casting (I grip my rod with my thumb straight up). I guess I had made the bore a little too large, and no epoxy filled the gap and that spot happened to be right where I placed my thumb, and the pressure of my grip made it collapse

So I mixed up some slow cure, flexible rod wrapping epoxy and mixed it with cork dust. I mixed it in an old, empty epoxy syringe and injected it into the crack to the inside of the grip and then at the end filled up the collapsed area. I actually seems to have worked, the cracked area is solid, and the collapsed area looks fairly normal.
