Don't we have someone on the list who is heavily involved with Fly Fisherman (Assoc. Editor or something similar??).
Perhaps he can help sort it all out.

Nick,

Im suffering the same fate with Fly Fisherman.

Firstly it took 3 months to get the first one, then after 6 months of my subscription, I needed to change the delivery address. It is now 7 months after Ive done that and my subscription isnt even being sent to my old address!!

Email after email is ignored. Ive even taken to emailing the editor but alack and alas no joy there either.

Just to back you up on the international postage costs......................Im getting screwed too!!!  If  I had a friend post them from the states, registered!!! it would work out cheaper! Go figure.

Most of the time the content is pretty OK, but sometimes the articles are just cracking, one that comes to mind was a caddis article a few years back (I picked it up on a visit). Thats the only reason I keep up the subscription. Looking for the odd gem.

Yours in suffering.....

Ronan.

Has anyone but me had any problems with these people?

I subscribed in March and was asked to allow 6-8 weeks for delivery(?)...

10 weeks later I mailed them and told them that I hadn't got anything yet and their reply to me was to "wait until 6/17/06 at the latest for the first issue to arrive" (... which meant another 2 weeks)

Well, I waited and they failed to keep also that promise.

After 3 weeks another email was sent to them, asking WHY it had taken so long (after waiting for three months, I thought I was entitled to an answer) and asking if it would work the same in the future. They didn't want to answer the two questions. The reply I got was that they would extend the subscription, but this time they didn't want to give me a new date for the first one to arrive.

I replied that I wasn't asking for an extension. I just wanted my subscription to start with the issue that woke up my interest in the first place... but I never got a reply to that.

Is this (combined with the huge postage) just their way tell international customers to stick to their own magazines or do they treat domestic customers the same way?

/Nick
