PLEASE NOTE: I'll be taking a break from the Daily Quote and Joke for the Day, through Monday, July 17.  I'll be around, but have so much going on with right now with repairs on sprinkler system this weekend,  my and Jody's 44th wedding anniversary on the 14th, christening for my youngest grandaughter, birthday parties for youngest daughter, and two grandkids, plus installing Jody's new wooden "inside" shutters, along with the last part of the repair work on the fence at the ranch, that I'm not going to have much time for the quotes and jokes.

Rick Zieger usually fills in for me on the QFTD and Alan Di Somma on the JFTD. (Alan has the JFTD email list.).  Would appreciate ya'll helping me out again, if possible.  If not and someone else wants to do the Quotes, let me know and I'll send my quote file. On the JFTD, if Alan can't do it and someone else
wants to handle it, let me know and I'll send you the  JFTD email list.

NOW, for today's quote.

"People generally take up angling for contemplation, fun, and genial companionship. Then there are midge fishermen. Their terminal tackle is 'something invisible attached to nothing'. They take up angling for the same reason blind swordsmen take up the blade in samurai films."

"The Armchair Angler"
