No offense intended here by offering advice when it isn't asked for, but for this style of fly (and most- all parachutes), I wrap the hackle as I wish it to be, and where I see it is to be tied off, I strip the fibers for a good half-inch from the hackle stem.  If this isn't clear, I can elaborate, but essentially I wrap the hackle, unwrap a wrap to get my big ol' hands in to strip the fibers off of the hackle stem at the desired tie-in point, then wrap the hackle AND BARE STEM until the bare-stem has made at least 1 full revolution.  THEN, and only then, do I tie off the hackle.  This helps me out in that you can bend/push the parachute towards the bend of the hook and not have to worry about trapping fibers of the hackled wrap, nor missing fibers of the tag- end of the hackle when you snip.  Once tied off, I add a drop of head cement to the post, then divide it in half randomly and pull the two parts apart to push the hackle-wraps down even further.  Again, I hope that this helps out some.
Best wishes and tight lines,
Pete

Main trouble I had was traaping fibres when tying off..

Try Newlyn in the am, and hepburn or harcourt in the afternoon.

Hi
Ian:

Is the
photo taken with the Klink on an angle??

Mick
Hall showed me once how to tie the hackle in on the actual post and to wind
down. It comes out much easier(no trapping on fibres when doing the wraps). I'll
show it to you when we see each other(whenever that may be!!). I am heading out
next Sunday- any recommendations??

Ok,

so here is a link to the pic of the klink.. I have tied for Neville's
Swap.

Apologies about the quality of the image.. it was very dark today - no sun
so difficult to get good focus and depth of field on macro

Anyway first attempt at Klinkhamer and first attempt at parachute fly..
