Chris
I was going to try slipping them on my leader and pulling them over the eye
of the hook after I have the fly tied on. That way I can switch them to
other flies instead of tying them to the fly. Sort of like the idea of a
tube fly slipping back on a hook. If you break your fly off you would've
lost the head cup anyway. I can also remove the head cup if I don't want to
use it with that fly.

Deb

Subject: RE: [VFB] Head Cups

I have used them for trolling smelt flies for salmon in Lake Winni and
they work okay. But no streamer works as good as a spoon anyways.

I have used them on an articulated damselfly nymph and they work okay.

I have yet to use them on a wooly bugger variant but I know it will add
a little more movement.

I am still not sure if they are worth the expense...

Out of a few packages that I have left, I have only used a small amount
- hoping to hear from others - how to optimize the use (and not waste my
supply...)

Also, still have not been able to work the flex-o stuff into anything
remotely fishable...

Thanks,
Chris
