Yes Chuck, you can spit on your chili pepper, but the color of your spit must orange, more specifically old fashioned "NeHi Orange" drink that I spit on my fish bait and Bream poppers, when I was a kid growing up in Alabama..  You take a swig of NeHi and motion it around in your mouth a little, then spit directly onto the Chili Pepper.  Makes a good fly GREAT, and the fish love Ne Hi too!   I suspect that TONY dips all his Chili Peppers in Ne Hi Orange, before giving them to his friends. That could explain why Chili Peppers tied by others of us don't work as well.  My Chili Pepper didn't work either, until I remembered the NeHi from my youth and spit some on it.  One good spitting, when dried for a couple of hours will last for a couple of days, before the Chili Pepper loses its power.  ;-) "NeHi Orange is is still available in the old timey long-neck bottles, at $32.80 for a case of 24.

Sorry, Tony, but I just couldn't keep OUR SECRET any longer.LOL, VBG, and ROTFLMAO !!

OK I got it working by removing the (<>).
I just read the text and found a couple of things I
will comment on. The thread is Fire Orange, not plain
Orange. There is a pronounced Fire Orange thread
Collar behind the bead, it is not mentioned in the
text.
