The fellas in our club love those Chili Peppers. We
were out fishing hybrids at a local resevoir in early
May and the Chili Pepper was working well for me. One
thing led to another and I can't give a fly to one guy
that asks and not another. These striped bass/white
bass hybrids are the meanest fish I've ever
encountered and were destroying leaders. The 2 dozen
Peppers I started with dwindled to none and I wound up
using a fly that a buddy gave me. In less than 2
hours, 10 of us had landed nearly 200 fish with a
dozen of those coming in at 16 inches or better.
Needless to say, the Chili Pepper has quite a
reputation in Lawrence, KS with all credit going to
Tony.
