Did you go fishing with Scott Rowan by chance from the Island? He also
conveyed a simillar
experience with sweepers and PT boats. Might have been on the Cowichan
though, can't recall.
In any case, great thread, as next month we plan to discuss wading
safety at NLFT&F. So
far I've been lucky too... with only one pool named after me on the Red
Deer River.
